1. St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day is an annual feast day which celebrates the life of Saint Patrick, the most commonly recognised of the patron saints of Ireland who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century.

St. Paddy Day or Paddy Day, as its commonly called, is also observed to celebrate the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and it has gradually evolved into a celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinking, gifting and a whole lot of green, which is more likely the official color for that day.

There are different ways to celebrating St. Patrick's Day like trying out the various food recipes that are Irish-inspired mostly for St. Patrick's day like lamb stew, chicken and leek pie, soda bread and lots more.
Also ensure to attend the mass today and of course put on your green!!

2. Corned Beef and Cabbage Day

Speak of yummy recipes to try out for St. Patrick's Day, corned beef and cabbage is one that cannot be left out! These two holidays can't be seperated from each other.

Back then, the traditional Irish Corned Beef and Cabbage recipes included salted pork which was used instead of corned beef.  But, sometime in the mid-1800s when the Irish immigrated to America, they found that Jewish corned beef was very similar in texture to pork. Thus, corned beef was used as a replacement for pork or bacon joint when preparing corned beef and cabbage meals.

To join in the celebration, here's a corned beef and cabbage recipe just for you https://todaysdatetv.blogspot.com/2020/03/yummy-corned-beef-and-cabbage-recipe.html
