International Read To Me day was established by the Child Writes Foundation to encourage the growth and spread of adult literacy. It became clear that in countries all over the world adult literacy is a problem, and many adults lack the ability to read even for pleasure. Prior to finding ways to help offset this, it became apparent that being read to as a child helped to encourage literacy and a love of reading in adults.
Although the holiday seeks to encourage children to read, some of the fundamental facts about this holiday extends even to adults.

2. Poultry Day
Dogs, cats and other pets may be man’s best friend, but man’s favorite meal may very well be Poultry. The domestication and cultivation of poultry have done a great deal to help society grow and prosper.

7. International Astrology Day

Wiccans and other neopagans observe the day as Ostara, a festival that celebrates the season's change from dark winter to brightening spring.
There is a modern way of celebrating Ostara which include;
- Blessing a bouquet of fresh flowers, and place it in your home.
- Dance and laugh at the same time (preferably barefoot and outside).
- Bless chocolate eggs with your new intentions, then eat them.

8. National Farm Rescuer Day
The mission of Farm Rescuers is to help family farms and ranches bridge crises so they have an opportunity to continue feasible operations. Farm Rescuers provide planting, haying, harvesting and livestock feeding assistance to farm and ranches family that have experienced a major injury, illness or natural disaster.
National Farm Rescuer Day is a day set out to celebrate these amazing and caring farm family savers.
9. St. Joseph's Day
Saint Joseph's Day, also called the Feast of Saint Joseph, is in Western Christianity the principal feast day commemorating the life of Saint Joseph, husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary and stepfather of Jesus Christ.
Pope Pius IX proclaimed Saint Joseph the patron of the Universal Church in 1870. Having died in the "arms of Jesus and Mary" according to Catholic tradition, he is considered the model of the pious believer who receives grace at the moment of death, in other words, the patron of a happy death.
In honor of this day catholics and other Christians wear red as the dresscode for the day and visit assembling home altars dedicated to Saint Joseph.
